That includes work that was not performed in a workmanlike manner, jobs that were paid for but never finished, invoices that were never paid, and cases where someone took money or described the work in a way that was not true.

Most of these disputes are won or lost in the contract, the payment record, and the photos of the work — not in a courtroom on day one. We start there, then use a demand letter, a negotiated resolution, or a lawsuit if the file and the dollars justify it.

Not every dispute needs a lawsuit. A formal demand letter backed by a credible legal position resolves many of these matters within weeks. Where the numbers justify it, we pursue mechanic's liens, bond claims on public projects, and breach of contract actions, always weighing the cost of the fight against what you stand to recover.
